Volunteer Opportunities with CPAH
CPAH has several opportunities year-round for community volunteers.
CPAH needs volunteers and mentors to work with kids in our After School Homework Club and Summer Youth programs (helping children with homework, playing games or doing crafts, or playing sports or games outside, and chaperoning field trips). The youth programs take place five days a week at CPAH properties in Tigard and Beaverton.
Volunteers help CPAH staff organize and purchase backpacks and school supplies for our Annual Backpacks and School Supplies giveaway to more than 160 children in need. We also have opportunities to help on the actual distribution days – volunteers hand out the backpacks and supplies to kids and their families as they come through the community rooms at CPAH housing properties and “shop” for grade-appropriate items.
Volunteers can also interact with our senior residents, by playing games or assisting with arts and crafts, or by helping with potlucks and other social events taking place in our CPAH housing communities.
CPAH also has a variety of committees that provide volunteer opportunities, including Resident Services, Housing, Finance, Fundraising, and HomeWord Bound, CPAH’s annual fundraising gala.
